Annual EJ Convening & Lecture

A yearly gathering for dialogue, strategy, art, and intergenerational exchange.

Annual Convening

A space for collective reflection, strategy, and imagination

Each year, the Foundation brings together feminists, organisers, artists, and social justice actors from across the continent and the globe. The Convening honours EJ’s legacy through dialogue, learning, and shared political imagination.

What the Convening Includes

  • The EJ Memorial Lecture — delivered by a leading feminist thinker or movement leader.
  • Panels & Workshops — exploring resistance, re-imagination, climate justice, reproductive rights, and anti-fascism.
  • Artistic Tributes & Intergenerational Exchange — grounding political work in memory, culture, and creativity.
